Chanel: Modern fashion from Gabrielle Chanel to Karl Lagerfeld.
This book includes 100 signature Chanel looks - the LBD, faux pearls, leather bags, and many more. Designs from the house of Chanel have fundamentally inspired what we wear. Gabrielle Chanel wanted women to be free, emancipation shown through their clothing.
She invented luxe minimalism by combining humble fabrics with couture and inventing original silhouettes, leaving her mark by embracing luxury in an understated way. Under Lagerfeld, Chanel transformed yet again, inspiring what a modern fashion house should be and altering the fashion industry as a whole.
Alexander Fury, fashion journalist, has compiled a selection from museums, some of the most well-known editorial photographers, and archival collections to create this extraordinary collection that’s a must for every fashion-lover’s coffee table.
