Following a captivating inner call and intuition, Bianca Pintan began her journey into creating art through the medium of ceramics. Having always worked hands on, the art of ceramics came naturally to her, as though her hands had memorized these movements before. Bianca was born and raised in Brazil and is now based in the magnetic coastal town of Byron Bay, Australia.

Each color has a distinct effect on us that influences our emotional and physical responses. The Rainbow Collection invites you to allow the color, shapes, and angled perceptions to guide your subconscious with their visual cues and see what you discover.
Each ceramic art piece in this collection is designed and handcrafted with the intention to bring energy and excitement to the space within which it’s placed. The collection includes ceramic vases, sculptural wall pieces, and decorative lighting.

Close Design is delighted to showcase The Rainbow Collection, in collaboration with artisan ceramicist and sculptor, Bianca Pintan. Bianca Pintan was born and raised in Brazil and is now based in the coastal town of Byron Bay, Australia. Drawing inspiration from Australia's wild landscape, her pieces play with the textural elements of shape and light and tell a different story each time you view them.

The clay used for this collection is stoneware clay that is raw and unglazed, giving it a X natural finish. Its matte surface combines with each color to create a unique personality depending on the light and design of the space.
Each ceramic art piece in the collection is crafted entirely by hand and is therefore a truly distinct, one-of-a-kind piece. The pieces work perfectly as stand-alone art but are also encouraged to be combined together with other pieces of the collection.
Bold colors, subtly curved silhouettes, and hand carved textures make these pieces a living exploration of our deep and emotional relationship with color.

Master of Her Craft
As a self-taught artist whose pieces are hand-crafted using her own techniques, Bianca is playfully curious and open to receive inspiration rather than searching for it. Rather than imposing her will upon it, Bianca allows the clay to guide her into whatever shape is wanting to be birthed, stretching the clay to its limits and engaging in a constant back-and-forth relationship with her medium. Playing with the textural elements of shape and light, her pieces tell a unique story each time you view them.
